In the following decades, as more business units for further additives came along and were integrated into the product branding concept, D.O.ADD still stood for lubricants by default.
When further business areas were added, it was time for a new, uniform product brand concept with D.O.G as the umbrella brand. In the structure of the product brands, D.O.ADD then automatically stood for lubricants. All the others, as D.O.GUM (rubber industry), D.O.COAT (coating industry), D.O.PLAST (plastics industry) and D.O.TACK (adhesives and sealants industry), contained a reference to the industry in the name, while D.O.ADD retained the historical but generic term.
We changed this at the turn of the year 2021/22, so that D.O.ADD is now called D.O.LUBE for lubricant additives. However, this does not change the fact that in this segment the EP additives continue to bear the product name DeoAdd and, with the base differentiation, sulfurized fatty acid methyl esters, sulfurized fatty acid methyl esters/triglycerides, sulfurized olefins and sulfurized lard oils are an important part of the D.O.LUBE product range. In addition, AW and corrosion protection additives as well as antioxidant and multifunctional additives are part of the product range.
