    Deolink® Silane

    Organofunctional silanes are hybrid compounds that combine the functionality of a reactive organic group with the inorganic functionality of an alkyl silicate in a single molecule. This special property enables their use as molecular bridges between inorganic materials and organic polymers. A large number of chemically different adhesive and sealant systems exist for which the most suitable organofunctional silane must be selected. The choice of organofunctional group is important for polymer compatibility, as is the alkoxy functionality of the silane for crosslinking properties. Amino, epoxy and methacrylic silanes are frequently used for adhesion optimization, while vinyl silanes are mainly used as moisture scavengers.
