Small dosage – major effects

The demands on the properties of coating are constantly increasing. End users require continuous improvements in adhesion, abrasion, and scratch resistance. For automotive applications, a varnish without additives to improve those properties simply would not be accepted by the industry. In winter, the salt-spray-test can hardly be passed without using silane-enhanced varnish systems. The varnish can be hardened faster by using Deolink silanes. Consequently, shorter drying periods will save energy, shorten cycle-times, and also reduce cost. Furthermore, Deolink silanes provide benefits for paints used in construction. This very competitive market segment demands high quality at a very low cost. With Deolink silane modification, an economically-priced acrylic varnish system could yield the same performance as the more commonly-used expensive varnish systems. DOG has developed silane products specifically to meet these market demands. These products are silane blends which substantially outperform basic silanes: the Deolink EH (enhanced) product line.

DOG’s production facility in the free-harbour area of Hamburg is equipped with production areas protected from explosion, ceramic reactors suitable for treating hazardous chemicals, and distillation equipment to manufacture high-purity products. Additionally, DOG can also create tailor-made silane products according to the customer’s needs.
