Controzon waxes form a flexible wax film on the surfaces of the vulcanizates and protect them from crack formation due to ozone attack under static conditions. Controzon waxes act as carriers for chemical ozone protecting agents and antioxidants and improve their effectiveness. The addition of about 2 phr prevents the ozone attack known as the “frosting effect”. Supplied as pellets, Controzon waxes are easy to handle and to weigh.
